いしかわかずはると藤永結のふたり展「桜と新緑の頃に」は明日が最終日です。展覧会がはじまった４月の某日、会場のある広島県福山市内海町を訪れました。

いくつかの小さな島から成り立つ内海町。
ご縁あってはじめて伺う場所ですから、まずは自分の目で足でこの町を知りたいと思い、福山駅でレンタカーを借りて車で島へと向かいました。

本土から続く橋を渡り、島の外周をぐるっとドライブ。
途中、展望台をみつけて車を停め、山の頂上へ。
そこから撮ったのがこの１枚。
少し曇ってはいたものの、眼下に広がる瀬戸内海とその島々がキラキラと輝いてみえました。

日本にはまだ見ぬ美しい場所がたくさんあります。
アートを通してまたひとつ、素敵な出会いがありました。

Tomorrow is the last day of Kazuharu ISHIKAWA & Yui Fujinaga’s two-person show “With the morning breeze” exhibition　held in a small seaside village Utsumi-cho in Fukuyama,Hiroshima.

I visited the area in April.Since this was my first time to get there,I rented a car at Fukuyama Station and drove there myself so that I could feel the place better.

Utsumichi-cho consists of a couple of small islands.
I found a lookout there and climbed up to the top.
The photo above is the view from there overlooking Seto-naikai (Seto inland sea).
A bit cloudy on the day,but still breathtakingly beautiful.

There are so many undiscovered destinations to visit in Japan.
I was so happy to find a new place through art!
