ニューヨークに30年以上在住し、近年は日本に戻られた大好きなアートディーラー・私の「NYのお父さん」が68歳の若さで永眠された。
今はただただ驚き、言葉が出ない。

5年前、久々に日本でお会いした時に書いた旧ディレクター’s ブログの記事を「NYの父」の思い出に再掲します。

My “NY” dad has passed away at the age of 68.
I cannot find a word to say now.
It truly is a bolt from the blue…
After living in NYC as an art dealer for more than 30 years, he had returned to Japan with my “NY mom” and opened his gallery in Okayama prefecture.
If I hadn’t met him on my first few days of studying art in NYC about 20 years ago, I wouldn’t have been in the art world now.
He really was a cool guy and I LOVED the couple.

My “NY” dad, may you rest in peace…
